![]() ![]() Yet be aware, this is a full-grown aromatic, if you want pure tobacco this isn't your choice. Rum and Maple is rather mild, with not much of nicotine, so it's very suitable for beginners, whom like a aromated and mild smoke. Usually I prefer blends, where the tobacco dominates when smoking aromated toabaccos (which isn't very often), yet somehow this blend simply works as it is! Even tho the flavouring seems overpowering at the begining it slowly lessens and reaches a moderate and pleasant strenght. The black Cavendish contributes hints of vanilla and enrich the mixture with a fermented aroma. The Virginias are rather tamed to me and support the citrusy-sour flavour of the Rum-topping with it's lemonlike, tangy notes. ![]() The Burley delivers a rich aroma of nuts, molasses and a gentle spice. The added flavouring is the star player, which is supported by the tobacco. ![]() The flavouring is consistent throughout the smoke, yet it leaves (some) room for the tobacco to contribute some notes to this composition. At first the flavouring is a bit overpowering to me, but it tames after a few puffs. On first light I got greeted by a intense maple flavour, accompanied by the "Rum"-flavouring, which provides citrusy-sour, slighty spicy and fresh notes. The pouch comes in perfect condition to smoke right away. Easy to pack, easy to light, not a problem to keep lit. The ribbons look beautiful with colours ranging from golden-orange (Virginias), to brown (Burleys) and black (Cavendish). They managed to find the sweet spot here. It doesn't smell like real rum to me, yet the smell from the pouch is inviting and even tho it's artificial, I find it to be not too aritficial. R&M somehow is the exception under the Planta blends! Upon opening the very well and classy designed pouch (which is a pleasure for itself to me!) you get greeted by a rather chemical, yet bearable and intriguing scent of maple, that's accompanied by a citruys-fresh and slightly sour-tangy scent of what's supposed to be the "Rum". But Plante is very infamous here, known for making the most chemical and nasty tobaccos.so it took a while before I stuggeld through buying this blend. At first i thought I wouldn't like rum toppings, but after I like Salty Dogs Plug, as well as Navy Flakes with rum that concern was gone. In the past I hestitated for a long time before buying this. I bought this, because it was cheap and my father started out pipe smoking and I thought we can share the pouch. Rum and Maple was a real surprise to me the first time I smoked it. He told me that I had not been the first to complain and the pouch was not tainted, no, they had changed the tobacco. ![]() I brought the pouch back to my tobacconist of the time, and complained that I had gotten a tainted pouch. I learned this from the next pouch I bought: I threw it away after a few pipefuls refused to be anything but goopy, horribly bitey, burning unevenly and otherwise misbehaving (with the sole exception of the room note, which was still delicious). Then they changed the recipe (sometime in the early 1990s). The room note was beautiful, the taste helped in getting me off the BCs, and the tobacco burned down easily, without much maintenance, right down to the bottom of the pipe. At the time, this was an affordable tobacco (just the right price bracket for a college student), and my first pouch rewarded me with a very nice, sweet, somewhat rum-ish scent. I first tried this blend during my Black Cavendish phase, a long time ago. ![]() ![]() ![]() Charles Raison, psychiatrist and director of the Mind/Body Institute at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. It is ridiculous to call BaK, BiA and RtK a "series". ![]() Tl dr: Feist won't do another game probably. If he can stop that from happening to his series too, there's no way someone's gonna be able to sign him up for another game. Now look at the fanfics Harry Potter has put out, not for quality, but quantity. And the chances of him writing a storyline for a game are equally unlikely (he's pretty old now, probably wants to retire and writing a storyline for a game is a TON of work).įeist is kind of nutty about others writing for his universe, in fact there's zero fanfiction for his universe because he'll send out cease and desists for anyone using his characters/universe. A good game yes, but not sequel worthy.Īdditionally, Feist has strict control now over his series, and I VERY much doubt he would let others take control and make a new story in it like that. That being said, I'm pretty sure Return underperformed when compared to it's predecessor (which won award(s). Betrayal was a VERY open ended game, similar to Oblivion/Skyrim, but with chapters to change up the monsters/scenery/quests. I felt the sequel, while good, was a completely different style of game which kind of turned me off of it. I played Betrayal at Krondor to frakking death with my buddy when we were like 12~13. Feist liked the games and what the designers did so much in the first game he decided to release books based on their storylines and affirm them as canon. Betrayal and Return were actually made into games before the books were released. ![]() ![]() Once professionals using Apple hardware have logged in to their Microsoft 365 accounts, they can access the individual apps and services associated with their subscription by clicking the App Launcher icon in the top left corner or the All Apps icon in the bottom left corner, as shown in Figure B.įigure B Microsoft 365 subscriptions offer multiple options for accessing and even downloading locally installed versions of various applications and services using iPads, iPhones and Macs.Īnother option for loading Microsoft 365 applications, depending upon the Microsoft 365 account in place, is to use the Install Office drop-down button found in the top right corner, as also is shown in Figure B. Literary Favorites: Fact or Fiction? The great decade: 1797–1808 This dark period ended in 1795, when a friend’s legacy made possible Wordsworth’s reunion with his beloved sister Dorothy-the two were never again to live apart-and their move in 1797 to Alfoxden House, near Bristol. Unprepared for any profession, rootless, virtually penniless, bitterly hostile to his own country’s opposition to the French, he lived in London in the company of radicals like William Godwin and learned to feel a profound sympathy for the abandoned mothers, beggars, children, vagrants, and victims of England’s wars who began to march through the sombre poems he began writing at this time. The three or four years that followed his return to England were the darkest of Wordsworth’s life. He was not to see his daughter Caroline until she was nine. ![]() But before their child was born in December 1792, Wordsworth had to return to England and was cut off there by the outbreak of war between England and France. Upon taking his Cambridge degree-an undistinguished “pass”-he returned in 1791 to France, where he formed a passionate attachment to a Frenchwoman, Annette Vallon. There he was caught up in the passionate enthusiasm that followed the fall of the Bastille, and became an ardent republican sympathizer. Repelled by the competitive pressures there, he elected to idle his way through the university, persuaded that he “was not for that hour, nor for that place.” The most important thing he did in his college years was to devote his summer vacation in 1790 to a long walking tour through revolutionary France. The natural scenery of the English lakes could terrify as well as nurture, as Wordsworth would later testify in the line “I grew up fostered alike by beauty and by fear,” but its generally benign aspect gave the growing boy the confidence he articulated in one of his first important poems, “Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey…,” namely, “that Nature never did betray the heart that loved her.” At Hawkshead Wordsworth received an excellent education in classics, literature, and mathematics, but the chief advantage to him there was the chance to indulge in the boyhood pleasures of living and playing in the outdoors. He lost his mother when he was 7 and his father when he was 13, upon which the orphan boys were sent off by guardian uncles to a grammar school at Hawkshead, a village in the heart of the Lake District. Wordsworth was born in the Lake District of northern England, the second of five children of a modestly prosperous estate manager. ![]() William Wordsworth, (born April 7, 1770, Cockermouth, Cumberland, England-died April 23, 1850, Rydal Mount, Westmorland), English poet whose Lyrical Ballads (1798), written with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, helped launch the English Romantic movement. Stirred simultaneously by walks in the English countryside and by his relationships with his sister Dorothy and English poet-critic Samuel Taylor Coleridge, William Wordsworth wrote most of his major works during the “great decade” of 1797–1808, including “Tintern Abbey,” “The Solitary Reaper,” “Resolution and Independence,” “ Ode: Intimations of Immortality,” and The Prelude.
